12 Houses in Astrology: In astrology, your birth chart (kundali) is likely a map of the sky at the time of your birth. It shows which planet is available at what position and where he is moving. The chart is divided into 12 parts. These parts are called as the 12 Houses of Astrology.

Each house represents a different part of life. It is just like each room has separate purpose in the house. E.g. kitchen for cooking, bedroom for rest. Below is the meaning of each of the 12 houses

1st House – House of Self (Lagna Bhava): This is the most important house, also called the Ascendant. It shows your personality, appearance, and how others see you. It also indicates your health and overall life direction.
